How Earnings Are Calculated

Kled's payout system is based on content value for AI training, not simply the number of files you upload. Uploading 1,000 nearly identical photos will not earn proportionally more than a handful of truly unique, diverse images.
Factors That Affect Earnings
- Content uniqueness — Unique content that differs from what already exists in datasets is significantly more valuable
- Content diversity — Varied subjects, environments, lighting, and contexts increase per-file value
- AI training relevance — Content matching current buyer demand earns more
- Technical quality — Clear, well-focused, properly exposed content is preferred
- Content authenticity — Original, real-world content is valued over filtered or manufactured content
- Market conditions — Supply and demand dynamics affect pricing for different content categories
Diminishing Returns
There are diminishing returns on similar content. The first few photos of a particular subject are more valuable than the next hundred similar ones. AI models learn patterns from initial examples — additional near-identical examples add minimal value.
Dynamic Valuation
Payout rates are not fixed. The same type of content may be worth more or less at different times depending on market demand, dataset composition, and how much similar content has already been contributed by all users.
Batch Processing
Earnings are calculated and credited in batches. When a batch that includes your content is processed, earnings appear in your balance. Batch processing timelines vary and can take up to 7 business days.
"More files = more money" — Not proportionally. There are severe diminishing returns when uploading repetitive or similar content. Ten truly unique, diverse photos can earn more than 500 near-identical ones.
"Bigger files pay more" — File size does not directly determine value. A small, unique JPEG can be worth more than a large but repetitive video."Professional equipment is needed" — Standard smartphone cameras produce more than adequate quality for AI training data. Professional gear is not necessary.
"All photos are worth the same" — The value varies significantly based on uniqueness, quality, diversity, and current market demand. There is no flat per-file rate.
"I should upload everything on my phone" — Curating your uploads is more effective. Selecting diverse, high-quality content outperforms bulk-uploading your entire camera roll, which likely contains many similar or low-value shots.
- Diversify your content — Different subjects, locations, lighting, weather, times of day
- Focus on uniqueness — Ask yourself: is this photo meaningfully different from my other uploads?
- Maintain quality — Sharp, well-lit, properly exposed photos and steady videos
- Upload original files — Retain EXIF metadata by avoiding heavy editing or re-saving
- Complete Special Tasks — These often have higher per-file payouts for targeted content
- Stay consistent — Regular diverse uploads build sustained earning potential
- Use referral codes — Earn additional commissions from referred users' activity
